Our story

It all began with Bean. 

🐶 Meet Bean, the inspiration behind Sunbean. Bean is a senior Dachshund rescued straight from a street dumpster, Bean was abused, abandoned and skin-and-bones starving, but beyond that little body was a big spirit - warm and bright and full of zest - or what I like to call: beams of sunshine.

🌞 He’s my light. My daily reminder to look at life belly side up.

Because I know firsthand how tough it is to find cool yet quality goods for the unique Dachshund body type - long body, short legs and cuteness overload - I set out to create a brand specially fit for the sausage dog breed while also meeting the everyday needs of their fellow human.

I’m Cloe - the founder of Sunbean and proud dog mama to the main honcho around here: Bean himself.

I’ve always been the colorful, dog-obsessed gal, but Sunbean isn’t just about clothing – it’s about living life on the sunny side.

Growing up in a family of entrepreneurs, I learned the grit and hustle needed to build something meaningful. Moving to the US in 2015, I finally felt free to express my authentic self, embracing bold colors, self-expression, and unapologetic joy – the same energy that fuels Sunbean.

Then came Bean, my spirited, long-bodied sidekick. He’s not just my cuddle buddy and adventure partner but my daily inspiration to live life belly-side-up.

Together, we’ve embraced the freedom to live boldly and share that same spirit with every piece we create at Sunbean – from colorful, thoughtful designs to high-quality pieces made for those who celebrate their bond with their pups.
